is it ok to have silk flowers and fresh flowers arrangement for my wedding?

i love the white ostrich feather decorations for the centre tables which i want to add stem flowers and the church pews there are some really nice silk flowers around or should i just stick with fresh ones? like to hear from former brides pls thanks.

lots of people have both at their weddings and if you choose nice silk flowers, there is nothing wrong with it.

if you are using silk to keep costs down though, you may find that fresh flowers from a wholesale supplier (as opposed to a florist shop) will end up being as cheap and sometimes cheaper than good silk flowers.

    Hi!
I am doing silk flowers for my bridal party and myself for our Fall 2012 wedding. As far as our Church we are ordering real flowers for the altar and blessed mother mary. Churches usually accept only real flowes.
Still thinking of what we are going to do for our reception hall, probably silk too. Our florist said silk for hall would be nice. Whatever you decide will be great.

    Hi!

I think you should have both if you think they blend well and it will not be tacky. If you want to keep the price down i agree with one of the other answers you can buy them wholesale or farm direct and keep the cost really low. Try http://www.flowerexplosion.com they have farm direct and the cost is low.
Do them yourself that would help too.
i have never seen silk flowers on churches so i will try to use fresh for the church.

    Best Wishes!
