Were you happy having silk flowers and did they look realistic? Or do you wish that you had gone for real flowers?
Also any suggestions as to where I can get them from? I am in Wales, in the the UK.
Thank you
i had silk the first marriage, real ones the second, the real ones were far better, both bouquets are available at a decent florists
http://www.wedideas.com has beautiful bouquets. I ordered all of mine for my wedding from there, and it cost around $400.00. But I had to order A LOT for a big bridal party!

I had silk flowers because that day will come and pass so fast and i wanted something other than pictures to keep as a keep sake! I have the flowers i carried on our wedding in a vase so that I can look at them when i go into our room. usualy they are cheaper too!

All good florists can do your flowers in silk instead of fresh, I had mine done in silk 33 years ago and they still look the same as on the day.

Oh yes we had silk flowers!!!! they looked awesome!!!!! It was a way to keep cost down….real flowers are really expensive. A place here in the us called hobby lobby is where we got all of ours.

Originally, I was going to by real roses and make the bouquets myself, but I found fake flowers that were the same price as real and they are made out of a rubbery material and feel exactly like real roses. I decided to go with the artificial roses because it allowed me to make the arrangements now instead of the day of the wedding.
Sorry, but I can’t help you find anything in the UK. I’m sure you could find something if you looked on ebay. I got mine at Hobby Lobby, not sure if they ship internationally or not.

I had silk flowers. They were beautiful! I don’t regret it at all. I had a wedding florist (who usually does work with fresh flowers) and she went 90 miles away to get the best quality ones for us, not the ones you can get at a local craft shop. Those are cheap-looking.
Now I will always have my wedding bouquet and it will look just as pretty as it did on my wedding day

I have to say – I’ve been at a few weddings with fake flowers and it definitely just says CHEAP!
However – for your own memories, etc. it won’t matter because they’ll look good in the pictures. Just people at the wedding will probably be thinking you guys cheaped out.

Hi ~ My fiance & I payed for the wedding so we had a pretty tight budget and decided to go with silk flowers and I am so glad we did!! Lucky for us, I knew a girl who did her own flowers for her wedding and she helped me put everything together from boutineers to centerpieces to the bouquets & everything looked beautiful! Silk flowers are made very good now and noone could even tell a difference and the best part was everyone got to keep there stuff. And I love having my bridal bouquet!!
And I ended up saving about $400 by using silk!!

Just Married 12-13-08
I had silk flowers for my wedding and they were awesome. So life-like and I wasn’t sneezing every five seconds while walking down the aisle.
I got my bouquet, 1 toss bouquet, 1 MOH bouquet, 5 bridesmaid bouquet, 10 boutineers, and 6 corsages all for only $170, and that included shipping off Ebay, from seller Yesssss-I-do. They turned out WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!
I definitely recommend that seller and I do believe she does international orders.
