My girlfriends uncle just passed away, and I would like to send flowers to her family. I did not know him, so I do not know if he had a favorite. Specific type? Color? Anything would be appreciated
Any type are fine, and appreciated by the family. We try to avoid funeral sprays, and get regular arrangements, so that they can be taken home after the funeral and enjoyed by others. No one wants a bunch of lillies with "RIP" on the front, setting in their living room.

I usually like to give a plant as the family of the deceased can enjoy it for years. I always think of my deceased loved ones when I water the plants. A Peace Lily is very appropriate and you don’t have to have a green thumb to keep it alive.

florists do this for a living. call a local florist up, ask for his advice, and dont be afraid to get your girlfriend’s or your own family’s opinion.

Whatever you choose and can afford I am sure will be appreciated. It is the thought that counts, as well and most often individuals send live plants to be enjoyed for years to come.

Dried and well preserved flowers would be appropriate for this situation. Sorry for her loss.
