I work in an office, and there is this one girl who always gets the most enormous boquets of flowers "just because". She always makes a big to-do about it making sure everyone sees it and tells them it is from her "boyfriend". Do you think there are SOME girls who actually order the flowers and send to themselves? Me and some of my coworkers have our suspicions.
ha ha that would be pretty pathetic if she does that ..

nope.. never.. that’s stupid.

I, myself, have NEVER done it, but I do have g-friends who I KNOW have done so. As for your co-worker, who knows? There are all kinds out there.

some do, if they want their friends to know secret admirers send them flowers to make themselves ‘proud’.

I think they do. You should send yourself a box of puppies to the office.

Here is from the perspective of someone who has been SINGLE for the vast majority of HER LIFE (and believe me — with my career choices (traditionally male oriented) .. I don’t get asked out either):
I would order some flowers to decorate my office for delivery every so often — they brightened up the space, I like them .. and since NO Male would EVER send me any .. I just wanted to make sure that I had something I liked around me while I was working.
PERHAPS this person is just a wee bit insecure (and is overcompensating by making this exclamation) .. or perhaps she really DOES have someone special in her life.
Does it really matter at all in the end? She likes the flowers, she is enjoying them .. just ‘tune out’ the rest.

Just relax and ignore all the ‘extra to-do’ — and enjoy the sight of something beautiful in the office. Sometimes the BEST way of keeping the peace is to ‘tune out’ and just do your work and be pleasant to your customers.
