I would like to have some flowers sent to my best friend’s widow. She is in BC Canada, how do I find a florist and order flowers?
What kind do you think she would like?
Would this be appropriate? I am trying to let her know I am here for her, and trying to help her feel better. Is this a good way?
Sending flowers is a great idea and it’s one of the easiest ways to send something long distance.
I would try to contact a local florist directly by searching the internet. The wire services like FTD or 1800 flowers and such take a good portion of your money and it doesn’t actually go towards the flowers.
If you prefer to order online you can find a good local florist in their area by searching on http://www.flowershopnetwork.com
Make sure they have a local phone number and address.
Once you find a web site you like, search for something bright and colorful that would be cheery. You don’t have to spend a fortune to do it. I personally like tulips and gerber daisies for these occasions.

Good luck!
I would suggest looking online for a florist near her and then calling them and ordering the flowers. Of course you’d have to pay by credit card.
Or go to 1-800-flowers
