Take it from a flower shop owner. The best thing you can do is pull up the yellow pages in the area she lives. Call a shop directly. You will get a much nicer arrangement for less or about the same cost.
All the internet sites do is work with the local shops and take a huge cut for supplying the order.

1-800-flowers can be a little pricey but i found some discounts- if you dont already have one, just go to borders and get a free rewards card and sign up for the emails and they will send you pages with a ton of companies that are offering discounts to borders rewards card-holders. 1-800 flowers is usually on there. in fact, i just sent my mom a really beautiful and huge bouquet for only 29.99 and it should have been 50, so the deals are pretty good!
