My flowers were delivered by the florist about three hours before the ceremony began because we had some pictures taken before the wedding (ones that did not include both my husband and I).
References :
"Typically" they are delivered in the florist's van and are sitting in cardboard boxes to protect them from falling over during transport. They are made to specifications at the shop, then any touch-ups can be done on site at the venue. Delivery time depends on how many weddings that particular florist has to deliver that day. If it's several, the florist plans the route to reach every church as easy as possible instead of driving back and forth across an area. Hopefully there will be a refrigerator that can keep the flowers cool until they are needed.

There is no "typical" because every florist, city, town, schedule and wedding is different. They florist works to make any situation happen. So write on, and make it work for your situation~
References :
Our fresh flowers were delivered to my mom's home, around noon on the wedding day. Ceremony was at 2. I as the bride, was getting dressed there, and the wedding party was meeting there before going to the church, so the bridesmaids got their bouquets and the groomsmen their boutonnieres. There were also corsages and bouts for parents, so they were given out too before we went to the ceremony.
The flowers all came in low, open boxes, each piece encased in plastic.
References :
It varies on delivery. Silk flowers are bought weeks ahead. The silk flowers are stored in bags in boxes. Fresh flowers are delivered the morning of the wedding. The florist have vans with flower holders in the back so the flowers stay upright and do not get smashed. Certain flowers like orchids, lilies, and roses have water tubes to keep them fresh. Water tubes are used on other types of flowers also. The bridal bouquets are usuallyhand wrappedd with ribbon. Pew bows are hung the day of the wedding. The isle runner is placed hours before the wedding. Everything should be completely done 2 hours before the wedding.
References :
http://www.lerheebouquets.com

The Florist (who should be fluent with weddings) will take care of everything...don't worry....The flowers arrive with a person from the florist shop or two persons depending on how big the wedding flowers are they decorate the church pin the botnierres (spell check) on groomsmen, mother in law to be and mother and both fathers etc....If you are sending special flowers to the bride to be send them to where she is getting ready she will be very surprised, but don't forget her bouquet she will have them and they are usually sent to her and bridesmaid where they are getting dressed, all of this should be discussed times and places with your florist ahead of time...Best Wishes!
References :
You are writing the story , get on with it,- every church will do it differently, together with the couple and their requirements.
