How do I make my succulent plant flower?

I have a succulent (Aloinopsis luckhoffii), which I keep inside on a south facing windowsill and water correctly. It is supposed to flower every year in March. In the 4/5 years I have had it, it has so far flowered only once, and that was a few years ago.

Is my plant unhappy or something? What will make it flower?

Aloinopsis needs a rather deep pot because of its large tuberous root system and a winter growing period ( short days, little water, no fertilizer etc ) to induce flowering in early spring.
This site gives competent general and specific advices how to grow Mesembryanthemum species:

A lot of people believe in doing their plants the world of good, when they speak to them , why not try it.

Another trick is giving plants unwilling to flower a small portion of estrogen or a similar female hormone – might be your doctor or pharmacist has a box with antibaby pills out of date. It doesn`t hurt your Aloinopsis but might help. But for this year it`s too late to try; it should be given about 6 weeks before flowering period.

Good luck for you and your succulent!
