Do dandelions really change from the little yellow flower to the white globular flower?

I always thought a dandelion was the little yellow flower, and that the white round one was the one where you blew off all the petals and made a wish was a completely different flower. Are they really the same flower?

If so, why and how do they change?

They are the same. The round white globe is actually seeds that are formed when the yellow flower leaves disappear. It is kind of an interesting weed because it creates it’s seeds and then recreates itself.

they are the same plant after the dandelion is fertalized by bugs the bud closes up and goes through its little transformation into seeds.
the seed have the white fluffy tips to help it spread by wind and of course people blowing them!

btw you shouldn’t blow them in your own yard dandelions are weeds that can be hard to get rid of (although i like them)
what you should do is blow them in a neighbours yard especially one you dont like all that much!!!! they’ll love you for it hahaha
